Chongqing Industry Polytechnic College is a full-time public ordinary institution organized by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and supervised by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. In 2006, it was approved as one of the first batch of 28 Construction Units of National Demonstration Higher Vocational Colleges, and in 2019, it was approved as the Construction Unit of High-level Higher Vocational Colleges with Chinese Characteristics and Professional Construction Plans (Grade B).
