South China Agricultural University (SCAU) is a high-level university listed in "Double-First Class University Program" of China. The University is one of the national key in China with a history of 113 years, sponsored by both Guangdong Province and the Ministry of Agriculture.
The university has advantages in agricultural science and life science, and features in agricultural research in tropical and subtropical regions. In the latest QS World University Rankings, Agriculture and Forestry ranks 30th globally. Animal and Plant Science ranks in the global top 1‰ of ESI World Rankings. Situated at Guangzhou, the “city of flowers”, the university enjoys beautiful scenery and pleasant environment. The campus covers an area of over 8250 mu (550 hectares), and the total gross floor area is over 1.37 million square meters.
