    Brief Introduction: 

    In Songjiang and Hongkou Campus (the downtown Campus), SISU offers Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL), Chinese language, International Economics and Trade, Foreign languages(English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Persian, Korean…) and other majors. All bachelor programs are Chinese-taught and require Chinese proficiency of at least HSK 4 or HSK 5. International students can apply bachelor programs through Chinese Government Scholarship(CSC), Shanghai Government Scholarship(SGS) and International Chinese language teachers scholarship.   • 2English-taught Master Program

    Duration: 2 years

     

    Brief Introduction: 

    SISU offers various English-taught M.A programs including International Relations, China Studies, Journalism (Chinese Media and Global Journalism), Communication (Global Communication), Finance, Comparative Education and MBA. All these majors don't require Chinese proficiency but a good command of English which meets the requirements of degree studies.   • 3Chinese-taught Master Program

    Teaching Language: Chinese

     

    Duration: 2-3 years

     

    Brief Introduction: 

    International students can apply for all master’s programs taught in Chinese in SISU. International Relations, Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies,Advertising, Global Communication,Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(MTCSOL),Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) and other majors are popular for international students. (For MTI majors: The Graduate Institute of Interpretation and Translation (GIIT) of SISU is awarded the highest ranking by AIIC, the International Association of Conference Interpreters, as the only Asian university among the top professional conference interpreting schools in the world).     International students can apply for all doctoral majors taught in Chinese in SISU. Besides, SISU has launched programs fully delivered in English: China Studies, Global Communication.   • 5Chinese Language Program (long-term)

    Duration: 6 months/1 year

     

    Brief Introduction: 

    SISU has compiled and published a series of Mandarin Chinese textbooks to be used by non-Chinese speakers. Language is the feature specialty of SISU, and we have rich experience of Chinese language teaching. The training courses are Comprehensive Chinese (grammar, conversation, Chinese #characters), Chinese Listening Comprehension, Chinese Reading and Chinese Conversation of various levels( 7 levels from beginner to advanced). #Due to the impact of COVID-19 worldwide, SISU offer Chinese online courses also.
