"First, Shenzhen Technology University is located in Shenzhen, the most successful special economic zone in China which boasts abundant education resources, thriving business environment, intensive R&D investment and world-class industrial innovation capacity. Established by Guangdong Province and Shenzhen Municipality, it has enjoyed not only geographical advantages but also strong financial support and favorable policies

Second, SZTU has been a pioneer in exploring the school-running model of universities of applied sciences in China through drawing lessons from German and Swiss counterparts. It attaches great importance to practice-oriented education and university-enterprise cooperation, aiming at cultivating high-level applied talents that serve industrial and regional development needs.

Third, SZTU has been developing rapidly in internationalization. So far it has formed a highly international faculty team and built partnerships with 65 overseas universities, institutions and enterprises from 17 countries and regions. Through international cooperation, SZTU has launched a variety of international courses and activities, and established three joint programs, two joint offices overseas as well as multiple joint laboratories."

    Brief Introduction: 

    Meeting the industrial demands of China, especially the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, learning from advanced education model and sophisticated experience of German Applied Sciences Universities; 2. A highly qualified international faculty with work experience in various commercial and industrial business areas in Germany, Austria, Canada, Switzerland, and USA; 3. Graduates can also choose to study abroad. SZTU actively carries out cooperation with applied technology universities in Germany, Switzerland and other countries, and actively promotes in-depth cooperation in various forms such as academic exchanges, college co-construction and joint training.

  • 2Transportation undergraduate program

    Brief Introduction: 

    The transportation major is set up with two professional directions, which are Urban Rail Transit, and Intelligent Transportation And Smart Cities. In terms of school-enterprise cooperation, the College has signed a corporation agreement with Shenzhen Metro Co. Ltd. on the set-up and operation of the College. In terms of international cooperation, the college has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) as well as Delft University of Technology (in Netherlands) in aspects of joint education, training program and scientific research.

  • 3Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation undergraduate program

    Brief Introduction: 

    The four-year undergraduate courses consist of common modules, compulsory subject modules, optional modules, and practice modules, devoting one third of the study hours in work placements and project tasks. The courses will work with the local key players in advanced manufacturing, which aims to develop students' ability to tackle real-life issues and their innovation and entrepreneurship through university-industry collaboration and industry-education integration.

    In order to help its students adapt to global competition and fit the needs of emerging hi-tech industries in China, the College learns the training plans from experienced German universities of applied sciences such as University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) and OTH Regensburg and establishes Sino-German innovation laboratories jointly with them. In the curriculum, it emphasizes the research and development of IoT application system and electronic information products based on computer technology and information network. It also focuses on combining basic knowledge with frontier data technology as well as methodology with practical skills.

    Brief Introduction: 

    The program integrates the education of both foreign languages and professional business knowledge. With an emphasis on practice and innovation, the program aims to equip students with solid knowledge of English language, great familiarity with the general rules and regulations of international business, a strong capacity of general and special business practices, intercultural communicative competence, and independent innovation ability. At the same time, the program endeavors to nurture versatile application-oriented professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge, who can engage in the work of international economics and trade, international business, and international conferences.

    Brief Introduction: 

    Adopting the joint teaching mode of foreign and Chinese teachers, the program of German is dedicated to systematically cultivate students’ German language skills in terms of German language listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The graduates will obtain a high level of competence in German interpreting, translating, and intercultural communication. At the same time, it will take German for science and technology as its specialty feature in accordance with the schooling characteristics of SZTU and the regional advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
