Since its founding in 1955, China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) has been dedicated to grooming China’s most promising young minds with global vision and great learning to work for China’s foreign services and for world peace and prosperity. Directly affiliated with China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-built by the Ministry of Education, CFAU offers a unique educational experience that prides itself in intellectual integrity and academic excellence.
CFAU offers students a wide variety of majors including Diplomacy, English, Japanese, French, International Economy and Trade, Finance, International Law, Theory and Practice of Translation/Interpretation
Program Length: 4 Years (Full time)
Courses beginning in September are only for degree programs. One academic year usually consists of two semesters. The Fall semester begins in September and ends in January. The Spring semester begins in March and ends in July. Lectures are assigned in accordance to the teaching plans each year. Upon the completion of studies, eligible students will be able to obtain the bachelor’s degree.
Location: Classes taken during the Freshman, Sophomore and Junior years are held at the Shahe Campus (new campus), while classes taken during the Senior year are held at the Zhanlan Road Campus (old campus)

Students enrolling in the Chinese Language Program shall be placed in elementary, intermediate or advanced level classes according to their proficiency in the Chinese language. Classes will be held from Monday to Friday, 20 hours in total per week. Optional lectures like calligraphy and Taijiquan (Chinese shadow boxing) are also being offered. Lectures are assigned in accordance to the teaching plans each year. Upon the completion of studies, eligible students will be able to obtain the certificate.
