1. Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is one of the top universities of languages and international studies in China. Founded in 1941, BFSU has developed into a university offering 121 bachelor's programs, 101 of which are foreign language programs, 44 of which are taught exclusively at BFSU in China. It also offers master's degrees and doctoral degrees in literature, economics, management, law, education and history. According to QS university rankings in 2022, two disciplines of BFSU—linguistics and modern languages—ranked among top 200 globally.

2. BFSU works in partnership with 324 universities and academic institutions in 81 countries and regions and runs 22 Confucius Institutes and an Independent Confucius Classroom in 18 countries of three continents.

BFSU has nurtured a large number of qualified professionals with language competence, who work in and outside China as diplomats, translators, interpreters, educators, entrepreneurs, journalists, lawyers, bankers, etc. Among BFSU alumni, over 400 have worked as ambassadors, and over 2,000 as counselors.
