1. Dalian is one of the most livable cities in China. As a coastal city, it is neither bitterly cold in winter nor extremely hot in summer. Dalian is famous as “window of Northeast China”, “Pearl of North China” and “City of Romance”.

2. Dalian University of Technology is a national key university administrated directly under the Ministry of Education of China, which is also sponsored by Project 211 and Project 985. In 2017, approved by the State Council, DUT was selected into the "World-class University Construction Plan", category A. DUT keeps the education of talents as its primary mission and attaches equal importance to undergraduate and graduate programs. It has formed a multi-disciplinary system which focuses on science and engineering and coordinates science, engineering, economics, management, humanities, law, philosophy and arts.

3. DUT offers 57 Bachelor majors, 99 Master majors and 114 Ph.D. majors to the international students. Among them, there are 41 Master majors and 83 Ph.D. majors that could be taught in English. The English-medium programs provide much more choices and opportunities to the international students, especially to the students with no Chinese foundation. DUT also offers many types of scholarships, covering non-degree programs and degree programs.
